I think I'm going to wear one of my shawls...
My mom gave me 2 over the weekend. I think they were both crocheted by my great grannie or something. They’re awesome. Also I’m tutoring tomorrow, and you know nothing is better than letting the kids think you’re older than they already think you are. 19 going on 90 right here ^^

Halloween fun
Little kid at the door: What are you dressed up as?
Me: ...myself...? ...You?
At least I'm not pretending to be a witch whilst wearing a pink parka! I don't care if it's really cold out! Try harder, children.
Also my mom got the BEST halloween candy mix this year! the one with the coffee crisp, aero, kit kat and smarties! YES! I'm so glad my neighborhood has so few children. *wanders back to the candy bowl*

Layton's last letter recorded as a song by Raffi →
This is so awesome! I grew up on Raffi. Baby Beluga was totally my jam. This song is lovely too. Here’s a youtube link to the song because the CBC’s one didn’t work for me. It’s not complete, tho.

Adventures in Public Transit
I was just on the bus home, dozing off and then some lady sat down beside me AND WOKE ME UP TO HAVE A CONVERSATION! A total stranger! And of all the things that one could wake up a sleeping stranger to talk about, she woke me up to go on a rant about how people in wheelchairs and people with special needs shouldn’t be able to take the regular busses because they can take the special...

Hey, LTF!
Remember in grade 9 how our volunteer chore was looking after the potted plants in the art room and so we gave them all names and one was Xerxes Xcaliber? FUN FACT: Xerxes was a Persian prince back in like 490 BCE. Just thought you’d like to know, even though Xerxes Xcaliber, Abigail, and the rest of them are probably all dead from the asbestos in our jr high ceilings ^^

overflowingcharm: I think this might be the coolest/weirdest collection I have seen this ss 2012. So of course I love it there wasn’t an outfit in there i didn’t love. it reminds me kind of the sort of thing i loved to wear when i had to dress up as a kid. in the best possible way!

DIYP cooking cooking #6: Heavenly Dessert Waffle
I made myself dessert tonight. It’s a toaster waffle with vanilla ice cream and diyp hot strawberry sauce. To make the hot strawberry sauce, put a few strawberries on a plate and microwave for a minute or so until they are sitting in their own juices. YUM.

Where is Coco Going?
The best thing to find its way into my house this week is definitely the story book “Where is Coco Going?” It features a chick that appears to be made of pompoms who has a toy giraffe on a string and then they go places and there are many cute photos and it’s hilarious and adorable and i suggest you all go and take it out of the library to enjoy, regardless of age. The...

It's been an unusually long fall
I love that it still hasn’t snowed and that most days even the early mornings are around 1-3C. It’s fantastic. BUT I’d like just one snowy/cold day like right now so I can whip out these badass fluffy earmuffs! Cute, huh? They remind me of Khun in Idol Army when they had to get people to recognize them and because he was already kind of well-known they tried to...

The Male Privilege Checklist →
By Peggy McIntosh 1. My odds of being hired for a job, when competing against female applicants, are probably skewed in my favor. The more prestigious the job, the larger the odds are skewed. 2. I can be confident that my co-workers won’t think I got my job because of my sex – even though that might be true. (More). 3. If I am never promoted, it’s not because of my sex. 4. If I fail in my...

ok camel toe is bad and all, but there are better ways to avoid it (hello, pants that fit!) than what looks rather like a female jock strap. presumably you’d be wearing it to go out to the club, so what happens when you dance up on a strapping young lad? or if he tries to do some lower-body fondling? wouldn’t they feel the lady jock strap? or god forbid you get in a situation where...

Will it mix?
I won’t be updating much this week, I shouldn’t think. I’ve got 3 midterms this week, on top of the usual stuff I get done. So that’s cutting into the time I spend doing the inane shit I normally post about. So yeah, slow week to come in the wonderful, wonderful world of g-nomey’s tumblr. But, as is my tradition during exam times (and other times of academic...
